When and how much
Take 1 gel per hour during moderate intensity exercise. At higher intensity or for a longer duration, increase to 2 or 3 gels per hour. Start early, not just when you feel hungry or tired. Start after the first half hour and then continue taking them regularly. The 22 grams of carbohydrates per gel are suitable for sessions up to about two hours. For longer or more intense efforts where you need 80 grams or more per hour, Beta Fuel gels (40 grams per gel) are more suitable.
Which pack size is right for you
If you want to discover the flavors or start with energy gels: choose the 7 or 9-pack. For regular use with a chosen alternation of flavors, the 15 or 20-pack is practical. The 30-pack is the most economical per gel and is suitable if you know that gels have a fixed place in your training. Larger packs contain more gels per flavor; the selection remains a mix from the nine flavors above.
