SiS GO Electrolyte Lemon

A sports drink powder providing 36 grams of carbohydrates and electrolytes per 40-gram serving in 500 ml of water. SiS GO Electrolyte Lemon combines maltodextrin and fructose with sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium in a 6% isotonic solution. Lemon is the most neutral of the three flavors: slightly tart, easy to drink over a long period. Caffeine-free. Suitable for vegans. Informed Sport certified. Contains aspartame.

Why 6% and not more

Athletes sometimes think that more powder per bottle means more energy. But a concentration higher than 8% makes the drink hypertonic, which causes the stomach to draw in additional fluid to dilute it. This slows down gastric emptying and causes a bloated feeling. GO Electrolyte is dosed at exactly 40 grams in 500 ml of water. This is the limit at which the stomach allows the drink to pass directly without compensating. Using more powder than recommended is therefore counterproductive.

Energy and hydration at the same time, without two products

During prolonged exertion, one normally manages two things separately: a bottle for hydration and gels for energy. GO Electrolyte combines both in a single bottle. The 36 grams of carbohydrates per serving cover the lower end of the recommended range. To go higher, add a gel. For hydration only, the GO Hydro tablet is the lighter, carbohydrate-free option.

Lemon as a basic option for everyday use

Lemon is widely appreciated precisely because it is not overpowering. After several bottles, the flavor remains in the background and does not bother. It is the logical choice as a basic option for training and competitions. Orange or Blackcurrant can be deliberately kept to vary during longer rides or races.

Why SiS GO Electrolyte Lemon?

The most neutral, versatile flavor

Lemon has the lightest taste of the three GO Electrolyte variants. During prolonged exertion, very sweet flavors become tiresome more quickly. Lemon remains pleasant to consume after hours of cycling, which helps maintain consistent hydration throughout the session.

36 grams of carbohydrates from maltodextrin and fructose

The carbohydrates come from two sources, each using its own absorption pathway in the gut. Maltodextrin is rapidly absorbed via SGLT1 as a glucose source. Fructose passes through GLUT5 and is processed by the liver. This combination ensures a higher total carbohydrate throughput per hour than a single source.

Sodium for fluid balance, potassium and magnesium for muscle function

GO Electrolyte's electrolyte blend contains four minerals. Sodium is the main one and supports water retention and thirst. Potassium and magnesium play a role in muscle function and are also lost through sweat. Calcium completes the profile. Together, they cover basic losses during moderate to intense exercise lasting more than one hour.

Caffeine-free, Informed Sport certified

Can be freely combined with caffeine-containing products without affecting the daily limit. Every production batch is tested by Informed Sport. Gluten-free, lactose-free, soy-free and nut-free. Contains aspartame as a sweetener, not suitable for people with phenylketonuria.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to use GO Electrolyte in a larger bottle?

The basic ratio is 8 grams of powder per 100 ml of water. For 750 ml, use 60 grams; for 1 liter, 80 grams. Always maintain the same ratio. More powder per ml results in a hypertonic drink, which is absorbed more slowly.

Can I also drink GO Electrolyte before training?

Yes. A serving three to four hours before exercise helps optimize your glycogen stores and fluid balance. SiS also recommends a half serving two hours before starting. During exercise, drink one serving every 45 to 60 minutes.

What is the difference with GO Hydro tablets?

GO Hydro provides electrolytes with less than 1 gram of carbohydrates per tablet. GO Electrolyte provides 36 grams of carbohydrates in addition to electrolytes. Choose GO Hydro if you are managing energy through gels or bars and only want to supplement electrolytes. Choose GO Electrolyte if you want both energy and hydration in one bottle.

Does this product contain sugar?

Total carbohydrates are primarily composed of maltodextrin, a polysaccharide with no sweet taste. Approximately 5 grams per serving are fructose, which is classified as sugar on the label. The sweet taste of the drink itself comes from aspartame, not sugar.

How many servings does one jar contain?

The 500-gram jar provides 12 servings of 40 grams. The 1600-gram jar provides 40 servings. Per serving, the large jar is more economical. For daily use of one serving per hour of training, the large jar is more practical.

How does GO Electrolyte compare to a standard isotonic drink?

Many ready-to-drink isotonic beverages contain sugar as a carbohydrate source and have a concentration of around 6-8%. GO Electrolyte uses maltodextrin and fructose in powder form, allowing you to determine the concentration yourself by adjusting the amount of water. This gives you more control and is more cost-effective per serving than bottled sports drinks.
