SiS Beta Fuel Gel Nootropics Lemon and Lime
A 60ml energy gel combining 40 grams of carbohydrates with caffeine, L-Theanine, L-Taurine, and Cognizin® Citicoline. SiS Beta Fuel Gel Nootropics Lemon and Lime is based on the same carbohydrate base as the classic Beta Fuel gel, with the addition of four ingredients focused on the mental aspect of endurance sport. The flavor is a fresh lemon and lime taste, slightly bitter. Maximum 1 per day due to the high caffeine content of 200 mg. Gluten-free, suitable for vegans, Informed Sport certified.
Four active ingredients in addition to the gel
The carbohydrate base is identical to that of the classic Beta Fuel gel: 40 grams in a 1:0.8 maltodextrin to fructose ratio. Four additional ingredients are added. Caffeine (200 mg) contributes to alertness and endurance. L-Theanine (200 mg) is an amino acid from green tea which, when combined with caffeine, reduces caffeine-related agitation while maintaining the feeling of alertness. L-Taurine (1 g) is an amino acid active in muscle tissue and the nervous system. Cognizin® Citicoline (250 mg) is a patented form of citicoline, a choline compound involved in information processing in the brain.
Caffeine and L-Theanine together
200 mg of caffeine is a significant dose. Combined with L-Theanine, it behaves differently from caffeine alone. Theanine enhances the feeling of alertness provided by caffeine, but reduces the nervousness and jitteriness that can occur with higher caffeine doses. This combination has been studied in several randomized trials. The result: more focus, less feeling of nervousness. This is especially useful in the final phase of a competition or a long ride when you need to stay sharp while remaining calm.
Maximum 1 per day, to be combined with classic Beta Fuel gels
The limit of 1 gel per day is only related to the caffeine content. 200 mg per gel already represents half of the recommended daily limit of 400 mg for adults, regardless of other caffeine sources. If you want more than 40 grams of carbohydrates per hour, combine this gel with classic Beta Fuel gels or the Beta Fuel 80 sachet. These do not contain caffeine and can be freely combined. Use the nootropics gel when you most need the mental boost, and not simply as the first gel of the day.
This is not a gel for every outing. It's the gel for the moment that matters: the last climb, the last 30 kilometers, the point in an ultra race where concentration works harder than the legs. Always test it in training first, never for the first time on race day.
