NAC 900 mg Complex with Choline, Silicon and Biotin

This is a N-acetyl-L-cysteine supplement from LUTO Supplements that provides more than just NAC. Each capsule contains 450 mg of NAC, supplemented with choline bitartrate, silicon from bamboo extract, and biotin (vitamin B8). All in a vegetable HPMC capsule, without gelatin or magnesium stearate. Interesting if you want to combine several substances in one capsule instead of having separate bottles side by side.

What N-acetyl-L-cysteine precisely is

N-acetyl-L-cysteine is the stabilized version of the amino acid L-cysteine. That may sound technical, but the idea is simple. Free cysteine is unstable. By adding an acetyl group to it, the substance remains intact until it reaches your gastrointestinal system. There, this acetyl group is released again, and the cysteine becomes available. The characteristic sulfurous smell you notice when opening the jar is normal. Sulfurous amino acids simply smell that way. This says nothing about the quality or shelf life of the product.

Choline and Biotin in this complex

In addition to NAC, each capsule provides 90 mg of choline via choline bitartrate. With two capsules, you reach 180 mg per day. Choline contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function, normal homocysteine metabolism, and normal lipid metabolism. Choline is a nutrient that your body produces in limited quantities and otherwise comes from food, especially eggs, fish, and legumes. A supplement not usually found in a NAC formula. And then there's biotin. This complex contains 75 micrograms of biotin per capsule, the biologically active D-form. Biotin contributes to normal energy metabolism, the maintenance of normal hair and skin, and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Specifically, these properties align well with a formula focused on several processes at once.

The difference between 450 mg and 900 mg per day

One capsule provides 450 mg of N-acetyl-L-cysteine. In many studies, a daily dose from 600 mg is used. If you take two capsules a day, you reach 900 mg of NAC, plus double the amount of choline, silicon, and biotin. LUTO's advice is to start with one capsule and possibly increase to two, spread throughout the day. This is a sensible approach, especially if your stomach reacts sensitively to sulfur-containing substances. With 60 capsules per jar, you therefore have a one-month supply at two capsules a day, and a two-month supply at one capsule a day.

Silicon from bamboo extract

The silicon in this complex comes from bamboo extract with 85% silica. Per capsule, this amounts to 4 mg of elemental silicon, or 8 mg for two capsules. In your stomach, silica is converted into orthosilicic acid, a form your body can absorb. The dosage here is modest compared to supplements entirely focused on silicon. It is included in this product as a complementary ingredient alongside N-acetyl-L-cysteine, the main component of the formula.

In short: this NAC Complex combines a solid dosage of NAC with three complementary substances in a compact, plant-based capsule. The additions of choline, silicon, and biotin make it broader than a standard NAC capsule, even if these dosages are modest. Produced by LUTO Supplements, without unnecessary excipients.

Why LUTO Supplements' NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine) complex with Choline, Silicon, and Biotin?

450 mg of NAC per capsule, up to 900 mg

Each capsule contains 450 mg of N-acetyl-L-cysteine. With two capsules per day, you reach 900 mg, which is well within the range used in clinical studies (600 to 1800 mg). This allows you to adjust the dosage to your needs.

Four Substances in a Single Capsule

In addition to NAC, each capsule contains choline bitartrate, silicon from bamboo extract, and D-biotin. This eliminates the need for separate bottles if you want to combine these substances.

HPMC Vegetable Capsule without Magnesium Stearate

The capsule is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, entirely plant-based. No magnesium stearate or gelatin was used. For the rest, the formula contains only rice flour and calcium-bound fatty acids as excipients.

60 Capsules Per Pot, Flexible Dosage

Produced by LUTO Supplements. With 60 capsules per pot, you have a two-month supply if taking one capsule per day, or a one-month supply if taking two capsules per day. The flexible dosage adapts to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between NAC and regular cysteine?

Free cysteine is unstable and breaks down quickly. In NAC, an acetyl group is bound to cysteine. It protects the substance during its passage through your gastrointestinal system. Only then is the acetyl group released and cysteine becomes available.

Why does NAC smell so strongly of sulfur when I open the jar?

This is normal. NAC is a sulfur-containing amino acid, and sulfur compounds naturally have this characteristic smell. This says nothing about the quality or preservation of the product.

Can I take NAC with other supplements?

In most cases, yes, but there are some exceptions. Do not take NAC with activated charcoal, as this reduces absorption. If you are using nitroglycerin or have a cardiovascular condition, consult your doctor first. When in doubt, it is always wise to discuss your supplement use with a healthcare professional.

Aren't the choline and silicon dosages very low in this complex?

That's correct, the amounts of choline (90 mg) and silicon (4 mg) per capsule are modest compared to supplements focused entirely on these substances. The core of this product is NAC. Choline, silicon, and biotin are added here as complements, not as a replacement for a separate choline or silicon supplement. With two capsules per day, the amounts double, but NAC still remains the main ingredient.

Is this product suitable for vegans?

The capsule is made from HPMC (plant-based) with no gelatin. The other excipients are rice flour and calcium-bound fatty acids. All ingredients are of non-animal origin.

What is the difference between 450 mg and 900 mg of NAC per day?

One capsule provides 450 mg of NAC. In many studies, doses from 600 mg per day are used. With two capsules a day, you reach 900 mg, which is well within the common range of 600 to 1800 mg per day. The advice is to start with one capsule and possibly increase to two, especially if your stomach reacts sensitively to sulfur-containing substances.
