Magnesium Bisglycinate Tablets with 150 mg Elemental Magnesium

This magnesium supplement combines two forms in one tablet. The base is magnesium bisglycinate, a form in which magnesium is bound to the amino acid glycine. Magnesium citrate is added to this, supplemented with taurine, vitamin B6, and vitamin D3. Convenient if you want to supplement your magnesium without an entire row of bottles in the cupboard. Especially if you are an athlete, have an active life, or find that you lack energy.

Two forms of magnesium in one tablet

What many people don't know: there are dozens of forms of magnesium, and they all behave a little differently in your body. Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelated form. This means that the magnesium is attached to two glycine molecules, like a protective coat. This keeps the bond stable as it passes through the stomach and intestines. Your stomach generally tolerates it better than simpler forms like magnesium oxide. Magnesium citrate, the second form in this product, on the other hand, dissolves very well in water. By combining these two forms, LUTO Supplements focuses on both digestibility and solubility. For two tablets, you get 150 mg of magnesium bisglycinate and 100 mg of magnesium citrate.

The difference with cheaper magnesium forms

Magnesium oxide certainly contains a lot of elemental magnesium per gram, but your body absorbs relatively little of it. And it more often causes intestinal discomfort. With magnesium bisglycinate, it works differently. The chelated structure, this bond to glycine, allows the bond to pass through stomach acid intact. In your small intestine, the magnesium is then released and absorbed. This makes it a gentler choice for people with sensitive stomachs. Magnesium citrate complements this because it dissolves quickly and is therefore quickly available. Two forms that complement each other well.

What taurine and vitamins provide

In addition to the two forms of magnesium, each tablet contains 100 mg of taurine. Taurine is not a classic amino acid, but a sulfur-containing substance naturally present in your muscles and nerve tissue. It plays a role in the water balance of your cells and in the regulation of electrical impulses. Added to this is vitamin B6: it contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to reducing fatigue. And there is also vitamin D3 (25 mcg per two tablets). Vitamin D3 contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function and the normal functioning of the immune system. These are therefore not arbitrary additions, but ingredients that fundamentally align with magnesium.

What magnesium contributes to

Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal energy metabolism, and normal psychological functions. Moreover, your electrolyte balance also benefits: magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance. For athletes or people who sweat a lot, this is a relevant point. In addition, magnesium helps reduce fatigue and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system. And vitamin B6 reinforces this picture, as it also contributes to normal energy metabolism. In short: the composition covers several functions at once. LUTO Supplements delivers 60 tablets per pot, which is a minimum of 30 doses at two tablets per day.

This magnesium bisglycinate supplement from LUTO Supplements combines two well-tolerated forms of magnesium with taurine, vitamin B6, and D3. A compact formula in tablet form, non-GMO, gluten-free, and lactose-free. Suitable as a daily supplement for anyone who wants to consciously manage their magnesium.

Why LUTO Supplements' Magnesium Bisglycinate?

Bisglycinate and Citrate together in one tablet

This product combines two forms of magnesium with different profiles. Bisglycinate is chelated to glycine and is generally gentle on the intestines. Citrate dissolves quickly in water. Together, they offer both digestibility and solubility.

Supplemented with taurine, B6 and D3

In addition to magnesium, each dose contains 200 mg of taurine, 4 mg of vitamin B6 and 25 mcg of vitamin D3. These ingredients are fundamentally compatible with magnesium, so you don't need several separate bottles.

Chelated Magnesium, Gentler on Your Stomach

Magnesium bisglycinate is bound to two glycine molecules. This chelated structure allows the bond to pass through stomach acid more stably than simpler forms like magnesium oxide. People with sensitive stomachs generally tolerate bisglycinate better.

GMO-free, gluten-free, and lactose-free

The tablets are gluten-free and lactose-free and do not contain genetically modified organisms. Suitable if you need or wish to take this into account.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is magnesium bisglycinate?

Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelated form of magnesium. This means that the magnesium is bound to two glycine molecules, an amino acid. This bond acts as a protective layer: the bond remains more stable during its passage through your stomach. Therefore, this form generally causes fewer stomach and intestinal upsets than magnesium oxide, for example.

What is the difference between magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium citrate?

Bisglycinate is bound to glycine and is known to be gentle on the intestines. Citrate is bound to citric acid and, on the contrary, dissolves quickly in water. In this product, both forms are combined in a single tablet, so that you benefit from both the digestibility of bisglycinate and the solubility of citrate.

What is the best time to take magnesium bisglycinate?

You can take it at any time of day, but many people choose to take it in the evening. Take the tablets with a meal and a little water. This aids absorption in your intestines.

Why choose this over a cheaper magnesium product?

Cheaper magnesium supplements often contain magnesium oxide. While it contains a high amount of elemental magnesium per gram, your body absorbs relatively little of it. Additionally, oxide more often causes intestinal discomfort. This product combines bisglycinate and citrate, two forms that are generally better tolerated and have a more favorable absorption profile.

Why is there taurine in this magnesium supplement?

Taurine is a sulfur-containing substance naturally present in your muscles and nervous tissue. It plays a role in the fluid balance of your cells and in the regulation of electrical impulses. Both taurine and magnesium are involved in calcium management and membrane stability of muscle and nerve cells, which explains why they work well together in principle.

What is the difference between magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium oxide?

The biggest difference lies in absorption and tolerance. Magnesium oxide contains a lot of elemental magnesium per gram, but your body only absorbs a relatively small portion of it. Bisglycinate has a chelated structure: the magnesium is bound to glycine, allowing it to pass through stomach acid more stably and be absorbed in the small intestine. People with sensitive stomachs generally experience fewer problems with bisglycinate.
