Being under pressure is part of life, and many people seek plant-based support for it. This adaptogen complex from German Elite Nutrition combines five classic adaptogens, supplemented with magnesium and vitamin B5. Adaptogens are plants traditionally used during periods of stress and exertion. You take four capsules daily, preferably before bedtime or after sports.
The formula combines five plants: reishi, passionflower, panax ginseng, ashwagandha, and rhodiola. An adaptogen is a plant traditionally used to help the body cope with burden, a concept rooted in herbal medicine. What makes this complex special is that the extracts are concentrated and standardized. The ashwagandha is the Shoden variety, a concentrated extract standardized for withanolide glycosides, the characteristic plant compounds of ashwagandha. The ginseng is a 50:1 extract with 10% ginsenosides, and the rhodiola contains rosavin and salidroside. Reishi is a mushroom from traditional Asian herbal medicine and provides 1250 mg per daily dose, of which 500 mg are polysaccharides. Passionflower completes the list. This gives you five complementary plants, rather than a single isolated plant. For these plants, we only describe what they are and where they come from, without attributing any effects to them.
In addition to the plants, the formula contains magnesium bisglycinate and vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid). These two nutrients are not adaptogens, but they contribute to what this product is all about. Magnesium contributes to normal psychological function and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Magnesium also contributes to the reduction of fatigue and to normal muscle function. Pantothenic acid contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal mental performance, and also to the reduction of fatigue. Four capsules provide 80 mg of magnesium, which is 21% of the reference nutrient intake, and 6 mg of vitamin B5, which is 100%. These two nutrients thus form a recognizable base under the plant blend, with officially authorized claims. Magnesium is bound as bisglycinate, a form generally well-tolerated by the body.
Many people who are new to adaptogens first buy a jar of ashwagandha, then rhodiola, then ginseng. Before you know it, five jars are in the cupboard and you're swallowing a handful of capsules. A complex brings these plants together in one capsule. The advantage is simplicity: four capsules a day instead of measuring five different products. The plants in this formula are also often traditionally used together, so they naturally go well together. This not only saves space in the cupboard but also the work of selecting which brands and dosages to choose for each plant. You preferably take the capsules before bedtime or after training, with enough water. There is no strict timing; choose what suits your routine. The capsules are vegan, as the shell is made from plant-based hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a shrub from the Ayurvedic tradition; it is used here as a Shoden extract. Rhodiola rosea, also known as rose root, grows in cold mountainous regions and provides the plant compounds rosavin and salidroside. Panax ginseng is one of the best-known plants in Asian herbal medicine and is featured here as a highly concentrated 50:1 extract. Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a mushroom used for centuries in East Asia and represents the largest proportion by weight here. Finally, passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is a climbing plant with striking flowers, traditionally used in herbal tea and tinctures. These five plants are traditionally each used separately; here, they are combined in one capsule. We deliberately describe them only as plant-based ingredients, because for botanicals there are currently no authorized European health claims that we could mention.
With this adaptogen complex, you get five plants plus magnesium and B5 in one vegan capsule. One jar contains 120 capsules, enough for one month at four per day. A plant-based choice for those who prefer to take their adaptogens grouped rather than separately. The complex is suitable for adults who prefer to take isolated plants in a fixed combination rather than in separate jars in the cupboard. It can be used very well alongside a separate magnesium or vitamin preparation, provided you monitor the total magnesium intake, as four capsules already provide 80 mg. This product is not intended for young people, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women.
Reishi, passion flower, panax ginseng, ashwagandha and rhodiola in one formula, supplemented with magnesium and pantothenic acid.
The ashwagandha is the standardised Shoden variety and the ginseng an extract 50:1 with 10% ginsenosides.
The extracts are standardized for withanolide glycosides, ginsenosides, rosavins, and salidroside, so you know exactly what you're getting in each capsule.
The capsule shell is of vegetable origin (hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), with no animal-derived ingredients. One jar lasts one month based on four per day.

Adaptogens are plants traditionally used to help the body cope with stress and burden. Well-known examples include ashwagandha, rhodiola, and ginseng. This complex contains five of these, along with magnesium and vitamin B5.
You take four capsules per day, preferably before bedtime or after your workout. There is no strict time, choose what suits your routine. Take the capsules with sufficient water.
Four capsules provide, among other things, 1250 mg of reishi extract, 500 mg of passion flower, 400 mg of ginseng 50:1, 300 mg of ashwagandha Shoden, and 200 mg of rhodiola, plus 80 mg of magnesium and 6 mg of vitamin B5.
Yes. The capsule shell is made from plant-derived hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. The product does not contain any animal-derived ingredients.
Shoden is a concentrated ashwagandha extract, standardized to a high content of withanolide glycosides, the characteristic plant compounds. This means less extract is needed per capsule for the same amount of these compounds.
Both are possible. The advantage of a complex is having five adaptogens in one capsule instead of five separate jars. The plants in this formula are often traditionally used together.
